Hot, Sweet and pure Deliciousness
This sweet potato roast is clearly sweet with a hint heat from the chilies and has a bit of a crunch from the almonds. It’s the best side dish to balance any healthy meal or Sunday feasts.
6 to 8 Baby Sweet Potatoes
1 Small Red Onion, thinly sliced
1 1/2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
1 1/2 – 2 Tablespoons Honey
2 Tablespoons Almond Flakes
Pinch of Salt
1 Teaspoon Fresh Red Chili, chopped
- Preheat oven to 200℃
- Thoroughly rinse the skin of the sweet potatoes, and cut each into 3 pieces or in biteable pieces.
- Place the sweet potatoes in a baking pan, add onion, drizzle with oil and season with salt, toss and make sure all is coated with oil. Roast for 20 minutes.
- Take the pan out of the oven, add almonds, chili and drizzle honey, toss and roast for another 20 minutes.
- Enjoy! Serves 4 people.
